...While Affleck has prepared for fatherhood by trading in his cigarettes for chewing gum ("Gum is a better addiction than smoking," he told Access Hollywood), Garner—who worked on Alias until two weeks before the birth—has been busy putting together the nursery, shopping for furniture from posh New York boutique ducduc. Friends and family have also pitched in: Alias costar Ron Rifkin gave Violet a custom mug and plate set, while Ben's assistant Chay Carter sent over a pair of angora Yo My Booties. Grandma Pat Garner went the handmade route, making a quilt for the baby. The Mr. and Mrs., meanwhile, are simply thrilled with their own gift—Violet herself.
